Welcome to the test page for export applications in XML format. 

Tool Overview

This tool validates if the format and structure of the XML file will pass the XSD schema validation. The tool assumes all the required fields for submission are populated. Once a file is uploaded the schema checker identifies:
• Missing tags
• Out of place tags 
• Fields containing data that don’t match the schema enumeration 
• Fields entries that don’t match the schema pattern definition
• Required fields that are missing data
Issues with the XML format will prevent validation of data fields against the XSD data schema.

This tool will not be checking any information against PHIS data. This tool only checks that the field is populated in the file. Some examples of what won’t be checked include:
• GUIDs must be unique within PHIS 
• An update application has to reference an existing application in PHIS
• Replacement applications have to reference valid certificate(s)
• When the USDAExportMark field indicates that a Unique ID will be used, the unique ID isn’t checked if it contains information
• Valid PHIS-IDs
• If weights are entered since only one weight type is required
• If a value is in State or Territory
The above edits aren’t checked against PHIS data so additional results may occur when loading to PHIS. 

Once the tool finishes the validation, it displays results that can be viewed for printing or download. 

Testing a File

• Select the button to select a file. 
• Browse to the location with the file and select open.
• Select the Validate button. The results of the test are displayed on the screen.
• Use the Download Results button to save or print the results.
